Reader’s Theater at the Library March Session
Activity at the library to learn and have fun at the same time using dramatic reading of scripts based on children’s stories. Kids will hear the story, do some drama exercises, and practice reading the scripts with intonation and expression.
This activity is for 9 to 12 years-old (4º-6º Primaria) with a high-intermediate or advance English level. It will be held one Friday per month at 18:00, starting on October and finishing in June.
Readers’ Theater will be led by Carrie and Trisha, also known as storytellers from the International Institute Library Storytelling Mornings.
The activity forms part of the library services for library members. They will need to show their library card and send an e-mail to biblioteca@iie.es confirming their participation in the activity any time from the first day of the month and up to the week of the Readers Theater session.
Non-members who want to participate have a symbolic associated cost of 3€ per child for each session. The tickets can be obtained at the library check-out desk the same week of the session up until 15 minutes before the beginning of the activity.

After the Princess kissed the frog, he turned into a handsome prince and they lived happily ever after… or “did they?” The Princess can’t stand the Prince’s froggy habits – the way he hops around on the furniture, or sneaks off to the lily pond. The Prince is unhappy, too, and decides that it would be best if he were changed back to a frog. But finding a witch who will do the job is harder than he expects. They all seem to have other spells in mind…
(Después de que la princesa besara a la rana, él se convirtió en un apuesto príncipe y vivieron felices para siempre…pero ¿de veras fue así ? La princesa no podía soportar los hábitos del príncipe adquiridos en su época de rana. El príncipe era infeliz también y decidió que era mejor volver a convertirse en rana, pero encontrar una bruja que hiciera el trabajo fue más difícil de lo que esperaba. Todas parecían tener otros hechizos en mente…)
