“If you’re at all interested in cinema, then you’re interested in silent cinema, because that’s where the art form originates. That’s where the language of cinema came into being.” – Martin Scorsese
September 29th is “Silent Movie Day” in the US. As the day falls on a Sunday this year when the Institute is closed, we will honor the day on Saturday September 28th, screening a series of Charlie Chaplin’s short films in our auditorium from 11am – 1:30pm. Films in the program include A Dog’s Life, The Pilgrim, Sunnyside, and Pay Day.
This event is free and open to the public.
