Teaching Without Textbooks: Featuring Dr. Edith Esparza-Young
Edith Esparza-Young is an Assistant Professor in Bilingual Education at the College of Education and Human Development of the Texas A&M University-San Antonio. She has worked in higher educational settings for over 10 years. She has specialized professional training as a fully online faculty professor working with teachers of English Language Learning in California, Texas and Colorado. She has also served as an external evaluator for Dual Language programs throughout Texas, covering well over 10 districts and hundreds of dual language classrooms. Her state certifications include, Bilingual Education, ESL, Spanish, English Language Arts, Elementary and Secondary. Her research and publication concentrations range from historical foundation of Bilingual Education to organic play in dual language classrooms.
Dr. Esparza-Young is in Madrid on an “English Language Specialist” program sponsored by the U.S. Embassy to Spain.
