The International Institute participates in Madrid Otra Mirada, a celebration of Madrid’s rich cultural heritage, on Friday October 21. This is the 10th anniversary of Madrid Otra Mirada, which highlights the extraordinary heritage buildings and institutions that are all around us in Madrid. The International Institute is among the 169 institutions participating this year.
The American Cultural Studies (ACS) department will open its doors to the public on the afternoon of October 21. Come visit the Institute in person and take an interactive, self-guided quiz – Who’s Who in American Culture? How many of the famous Americans honored on our Wall of Fame can you recognize? Do you know why these men and women became famous? What contributions did they make to American science, technology, art and politics? Test your knowledge of American history and to learn why these people still matter.
This English-language event is designed for adults or for families with children ages 8 and up. Participants will connect to an interactive quiz via their mobile devices and complete the activity at their own pace.
