Decorando “cupcakes” y “Christmas Stockings”
Los alumnos de Kids’ Club y Young Learners 3, además de algunos de las clases de sábado y de los amigos de los cuentacuentos de la Biblioteca, se divirtieron decorando dulces navideños el lunes 15 de diciembre.
En Estados Unidos hay mucha tradición de decorar dulces en navidad, sobretodo Christmas cookies.
Cristina, de la tienda Taste of America, trajo todo tipo de adornos comestibles para decorar los cupcakes y Christmas stockings. Los niños más pequeños tenían ganas de terminar rápido, para poderse comer sus obras de arte cuanto antes. Pero los mayores, nos comentó Christine, tuvieron mucha paciencia y cuidado con la decoración. Cada uno quería que su pastelito fuera el más bonito. ¿Cuál te gusta más?

The Kids’ Club and Young Learners 3 classes, along with some of the Saturday Young Learners students and friends of the Library Storytelling Mornings, had a great time decorating Christmas sweets on Monday December 15th.
In USA people traditionally decorate Christmas sweets, especially Christmas cookies.
Cristina, from Taste of America, brought all kinds of edible decorations for the cupcakes and Christmas stockings. The youngest kids were in a hurry to finish quickly so they could eat their masterpieces as soon as possible. But Christine noticed that the older kids were much more patient and careful with their decorating. Everybody wanted their cake to look the best. Which one do you like best?
A huge thank you goes out to Jean, Cristina, Taste of American and Caroline, the Young Learners 2 teacher. They all worked together to make our afternoon a little sweeter.
