La clase de Young Learners 2 celebra S Valentín al estilo Americano
¿Sabes cómo los estadounidenses celebran el Día de San Valentín? En los EE.UU., el Día de San Valentín no es sólo romántico. Muchas personas celebran y muestran su afecto para con sus amigos y familiares en este día. Es costumbre regalar tarjetas o dulces a esas personas importantes. Los alumnos en el cole también realizan una actividad muy especial cada año, que es exactamente lo que hicieron los estudiantes de la clase de inglés YL2 para celebrar el Día de San Valentín este año en el Instituto.
Los niños aprendieron a través de fotos y de la lectura de un cuento en el que los estudiantes en los EE.UU. elaboran unas cajitas dedicadas para recolectar la tarjetas de San Valentín que han sido hechas individualmente por cada uno de sus compañeros de clase. Estas cajitas pueden ser decoradas con color rojo, blanco, púrpura y rosa para así crear un tema de San Valentín. Las tarjetas llevaban mensajes típicos como: “Be mine!” – “You are special!” – “Happy V-Day!”.
Los Young Learners se divertieron un montón decorando sus propias cajitas y haciendo pequeñas tarjetas para cada uno de sus compañeros de clase. ¡Son un grupo muy creativo! Luego, colocaron sus tarjetas hechas a mano en las cajitas de sus compañeros de clase. Todo el mundo se ha divertido con esta tradición americana, que requiere destreza y esfuerzo. ¡Todos se han ido a casa con el espíritu amistoso del Día de San Valentín!
Happy Valentine’s Day from Young Learners 2 Class!
Do you know how Americans celebrate Valentine’s Day? In the USA, Valentine’s Day is not just for romantics. Many people celebrate and show their care for their friends and family on this day. It is customary to give cards or candy to these important people. School children also do a very special activity each year, which is exactly how the students in the YL2 class celebrated Valentine’s Day this year at the Institute.
The children learned through pictures and reading a story that students in the USA make boxes to collect Valentine cards individually made by their each of their classmates. These boxes can be decorated with red, white, and pink for a Valentine theme. The cards have typical messages like, “Be mine!” — “You’re special!” — “Happy V-Day!”.
The Young Learners had a lot of fun decorating their own boxes and making little cards for each of their classmates. They are a very creative group! Then, they delivered their handmade cards to boxes of their classmates. Everyone had fun with this American crafty custom and went home with great Valentine’s Day spirit!
