For the second week of the Summer in the City Camp, the theme was Round and Round. Classes worked on all kinds of activities about “round” things. On July 30th the Institute began the Summer in the City English Camp. The theme of the first week was Rock Stars, and the students worked on different activities related to the theme. Kids’ Club finished the term with a performance for their parents. Patti’s class sang three songs and performed a play of The Very Busy Spider. Alicia’s group sang three songs from the film version of Charlotte’s Web. The class read the book throughout the term, and finished off with these happy (and fast) songs. It
On June 21, 2014, all the Young Learners celebrated their accomplishments by giving a grand performance to family and friends. With the end of the trimester approaching, the YL 3 weekday group began making decorations for their play, “JDDCAF.” The Young Learners wrote the entire script themselves, based on research they did throughout the term in the computer laboratory.
