Kids’ Club finishes off a great year
Kids’ Club finished the term with a performance for their parents. Patti’s class sang three songs and performed a play of The Very Busy Spider. Alicia’s group sang three songs from the film version of Charlotte’s Web. The class read the book throughout the term, and finished off with these happy (and fast) songs. It
The Young Learners’ Spring Program
On June 21, 2014, all the Young Learners celebrated their accomplishments by giving a grand performance to family and friends. Spiders and Insects
Kids’ Club has continued to read, talk and sing about spiders and insects. Here are some pictures of the ants they made out of egg cartons. Preparing for the Show
With the end of the trimester approaching, the YL 3 weekday group began making decorations for their play, “JDDCAF.” The Young Learners wrote the entire script themselves, based on research they did throughout the term in the computer laboratory. We look forward to seeing their performance on June 23, 2014!
Memory!

Your Neighborhood Part II
Remember when the YL 3 members sent Kate Sullivan, author of “On Linden Square,” drawings of their own neighborhoods? She responded! Not only did she send them pictures of her artwork, personalized with notes commenting on the Young Learners’ drawings, but she also mentioned them on her blog which you can see here. Spiders and Insects
Kids’ Club is still learning about spiders and insects. They have read two more Eric Carle books, The Very Grouchy Ladybug and The Very Hungry Caterpillar. They looked at the life cycle of a caterpillar and compared fiction (story) books with non-fiction (information) books. This Kids’ Club group loves crafts!
