It’s 2017 and we have started the winter trimester at the International Institute. The students in Young Learners 5 know each well after spending the fall trimester learning and laughing together. The YL1 class did a creative weaving craft that also served to help practice and remember the prepositions “over” and “under.” We also learned about different professions and then played a guessing game where to help practice forming questions: “Are you a doctor?” “Are you an astronaut?”

Welcome to Kids Club! This trimester we have been quite busy learning new songs, games, and traditions from North America. In November, we learned about the Native American people and some of their traditions. We even made dream catchers and wrote about our own dreams in our journals. We’ve had a great start to this year in YL4! The kids are enthusiastic and eager to learn English. We’ve focused a lot on speaking. I’m impressed with everyone’s level, enthusiasm, and imagination. The things they’ve invented during our fake interviews surprised me and made me laugh. I was very excited about our Halloween class!
