Second Madrid session of the Americana Film Festival with the film “The Miseducation of Cameron Post”.
Cameron (a striking Choë Grace Mortz) is discovered at prom making love to a friend in the car. So, her family decides to admit her to a boarding school that specializes in therapies to reorient young people with sexual "deviations". At the center she will meet other boys and girls, like Jane (Sasha Lane, the actress we met and captivated us with her leading role in American Honey) with whom he will establish a good friendship. Isolation will test their strengths and their sexuality, as well as the conviction of those who, with their method, believe they are helping this group of young people.
Winner of the award for best film at the Sundance Film Festival, The Miseducation of Cameron Post is one of the most anticipated American independent film films of the year. An intelligent mix of comedy and drama that tells us the stories of people who have to fight for their sexuality, their pride and their personal fulfillment. Subtle, light, without loading inks, without good or bad, the story flows between looks, hidden passions and illusions that seek to emerge. A hymn to individual freedom with one of the most wonderful musical moments of the year.
