Lecture by Belén Yuste and Sonnia L. Rivas- Caballero, curators of the exhibition “Nobel Women”
This conference is part of the events organized for the exhibition "Nobel Women" which can be seen at the Museum of Natural Sciences in Madrid from September 20. It will address the relationship between Concha Espina, the Spaniard who was nominated for the Nobel Prize the most times, and the Hispanic Society of America, the creation of the North American philanthropist Archer Milton Huntington. Concha Espina was a member of the Hispanic Society of America and its vice president in 1943.
Exhibition Nobel Women It aims to honor and publicize a selection of twelve award-winning women in each of the disciplines established by Alfred Nobel in his will, as well as Alfred Nobel himself, a philanthropist who bequeathed the world the most prestigious awards. Two women who were about to win the award are included: the Polish Irena Sendler and the Spanish Concha Espina.
