Participants in the Open Session of the course Speaking, Listening, and Pronunciation They will discuss some difficulties in communicating and listening to North American English.
All the linguistic and cultural activities will include:
Speaking = A five-minute conversation about using Facebook (preparation);
Listening = Listening to an authentic radio program from National Public Radio to catch the gist;
Pronunciation = The discovery of the correct pronunciations of the ending “-ed” and the secrets that facilitate pronunciation thanks to the phonetic context;
Speaking + Pronunciation + Listening = Carrying out a brief survey about the opinions that the other participants have of Facebook, practicing the correct intonation of the “Wh-” type questions.
