Talk and workshop on specific services in the public library for young people with disabilities
Description: Public libraries have the opportunity to lead and model inclusion within their community through the design of flexible library spaces. The librarian of the Dakota County Public Library in Minnesota, Renee Grassi, will explain to us how to design a sensory space and how they carried it out in her library, collaborating with different community agents that serve individuals with disabilities. To do this, they took advantage of the remodeling of one of the network's libraries and from there offer specific services for the disabled population.
