About the interpreters:
Piano Duets (four-hand piano) of the Royal Conservatory of Music of Madrid is a training created on purpose by students of Piano, Piano Duos, Chamber Music and Complementary Piano for the International Institute, in order to share in the cultural epicenter of the United States in Madrid, a repertoire resulting from the stylization of rhythms and melodies, originally African and Europeans, and the result of a collective American identity work recognizable today throughout the world.
The musical content that we will hear includes both consonance and dissonance, the unmistakable perception of the first beat of the measure as well as the marked setbacks, syncopations and hemiolias, without forgetting the character that, although in general it is celebratory, friendly or festive, is also represented the most introspective. The selected music shows the exquisite taste for short and danceable forms. All of this together denotes a particular genre.
El forever is made of many nows, by Emily Dickinson, undoubtedly fits into this concert, in which we, the teachers and students of the Royal Conservatory of Music of Madrid, an institution founded in 1830 by Queen María Cristina, would like each of the interpretations that we now present Always be part of our memory of collaboration with American culture, which is also ours.
