"The Pedagogical Missions: 1931-1936" with Eugenio Otero Urtaza edition

“The inhabitants of the villages and towns reached by the Missions, as well as the intellectuals, painters, writers or teachers who collaborated in this initiative, are the protagonists of the exhibition, and especially Manuel Bartolomé Cossío, who from the Presidency of the Board of the Pedagogical Missions not only exercised a task of intellectual direction of the project, but was attentive to even the smallest details. In addition, the exhibition wants to make us reflect on what his collaboration in the Pedagogical Missions meant for that youth, full of illusions, and the cut that the outbreak of the civil war produced in their biographies, which put an end to the democratic regime. ”
