“The Throbbing Question” by Emilia Pardo Bazán

“She is also the first great Spanish journalist, writing incessantly from 1876 until her death; she was the first foreign correspondent -Rome and Paris-; she founded and directed the "New Critical Theater"; she collected in "The throbbing question" her texts on naturalistic aesthetics in La Época; and she brought together her great feminist articles on Modern Spain in La Mujer Española, perhaps the most important and least known book on Spanish feminism.”
