Sally Mann Photography Exhibition “At Twelve”
“La Fábrica Gallery presents for the first time the complete series At Twelve by American artist Sally Mann. The work is made up of a set of 35 black and white portraits that make up the At Twelve series, made between 1983 and 1985 and published in 1988. In this work, the artist portrays a series of girls who live near her house in Lexington, Va. In all the images, the tension in their bodies, gestures and looks that the transformation from a girl to a woman supposes is reflected.”
