News from YL 3B Saturdays

The YL3B Saturday class has been busy! In addition to studying our pronouns and future tenses, we've been learning a lot about American culture. For Halloween we carved our own jack-o'-lanterns. We've also played many popular American games, such as Jeopardy, Scattergories and Taboo.

Books are an important part of the class. After reading about amazing, unique hotels found in America and throughout the rest of the world, we designed our own dream hotels. We then shared our creations with the class, which included an underwater hotel and a hotel located inside an inactive volcano. This week we will be reading and preparing a reader's theater for an American classic: Annie Oakley.
